Qualifying Rounds: Portsmouth rounds – 5 dozen arrows shot at 20 yards.
All senior compound archers will shoot on vertical triple 60cm faces, while all other categories will use single 60cm faces.
Junior compound archers wishing to take part in the H2H must shoot their qualifying round on a vertical triple 60cm face.
It may be possible to shoot in more than one session if space permits, but only the first scoring round will be used for placing in the H2H competition. Archers using different bow styles in different sessions must nominate the style to be used for H2H selection.
Fun Head to Head Competition
Normally, the top scoring 8 archers in each discipline (Recurve and Compound) from the qualifying Portsmouth rounds will compete in a knockout competition, each stage of which comprises a maximum of 5 sets of 3 arrows shot on vertical triple 40cm faces at 18m. Note: If there are less than 8 archers in a class, then fewer H2H rounds or byes will be used. We will also endeavour to include as many Longbow and barebow archers in the H2H as space permits. Compound archers will shoot 5 ends and the highest total score will win that match.
