Hey All,

We will be chartering a boat on 25 July to fish the Skerries off Plymouth.
The cost based on 10 People would be £40 per head + bait
Meet at Torquay marina 6:45 am Saturday, so those who have paid a deposit: You will need to bring £34.50 for the boat hire.

• We have 9 People so cost per head £44.50 per head + bait
• People confirmed: Tammy, Alex, Sophie, Rob, Reg, Alan M, Ray (Alan M’s Neighbour), Alan T, Reece.
• 1 place left
• We will need to use our own Tackle (rods/reels etc), although between the club members we have three or four spares
• A non-refundable deposit (refundable if bad weather stops the trip) is required. the deposit is £10 per head.

Places will be on a first come first served basis upon receipt of deposit.

Dear all, 

As promised, here’s the minutes of last years AGM so you have every opportunity of reading them prior to this year’s meeting.

Also attached is a provisional agenda. If you have any agenda items please let me know before June 15th. As this is an AGM only items notified to us are discussed, and there is no “Any Other Business”.

I have also attached details of the John Haines Trophy so you can have a think about who you might wish to nominate. Completed nomination forms can be put in the letterbox we will put up tomorrow.

Also on here is a rather better version of the nomination form. We will be putting a letterbox in the store at the field for any completed nomination forms. Again, could you please get these in by 15th June please. If any additional agenda items are received, I will send out a revised agenda a couple of days before the meeting.

It’s come around again, it’s almost AGM time.

The committee has fixed the date of the meeting as Tuesday the 23rd of June at 7 for 7.30.

It’s your club, so come and tell us what is going well for you, what isn’t going well for you, and what you want from it for the future. All constructive suggestions are welcome.

All committee positions are up for re-election, and a nomination form is attached so if you feel like having a go at one of them, all you need is a proposer and a seconder who both need to be full members of the club. Please send any completed nomination forms to Sharon on secretary@brixhamarchers.co.uk, or pass them on by hand. Please send any agenda items to the same address. Nominations and agenda items need to be received by the 15th June to be included. Also, please let Sharon know if you can’t make it to the meeting.

During the evening, there will also be the annual vote for the John Haines trophy at the AGM for the person who has acted in the way best becoming an archer throughout the year.

The committee roles are:-

• Child Protection officer
• Field Archery officer
• Trophies Officer
• Tournaments Organiser
• Webmaster and Publicity
• Equipment Officer
• Records Officer
• Catering Officer

Over the last few months some committee members have been covering more than one role so it would be good to spread the load amongst new people, and to bring fresh ideas into the club.

A provisional agenda will be circulated shortly before the meeting.
Do come and contribute your ideas to the running of the club.

The following will be the official club sessions this year.  Groups of archers who have been provided the container code by the committee may shoot at other times, but not alone unless they have been granted solo shooting rights.
