| Basic Points For Beginners To Archery To Remember |
- Safety is of utmost importance
|
- All Junior members, 17 years and under can only shoot when an adult
member (Field Captain) and one other adult is present on the field
|
- Juniors, 13 years of age and under must be individually accompanied
at all times by a designated adult
|
- Wear reasonably tight upper garment
|
- Use arrows longer than needed
|
- Always count your arrows before commencing shooting
|
|
- Never aim the bow and arrows skywards
|
- Bow and Arrows to be pointed only at the target
|
- On hearing the word "FAST"- Don't shoot - Bring down your
bow and put the arrow in your quiver
|
- Cross the shooting line only when signaled to do so
|
- Walk, (don't run) on the archery field
|
- Stand well clear of the arrows being drawn from the target
|
- Count all of your own arrows at each end
|
- Inform the field captain of any missing arrows immediately
|
- Treat the bow and all other equipment with great care
|
